El río Darro a su paso por la Carrera del Darro
Nace en Huetor Santillán. En la antigüedad la gente lavaba el oro en su orilla y de aquí su nombre. Los romanos lo llamaron Dauro (auro), los árabes Hadarro y los cristianos, lo rebautizaron como Dauro (que da oro) y a mediados del siglo XX se quedo con Darro.
Realmente el oro se buscaba enfrente del cortijo de Jesus del Valle (a espaldas del Llano de la perdiz). Está en la actualidad, poblado de gatos (aunque en la foto solo se captara un "mini gato")
